This program is ideal if you’re new to agentic AI but ready to move beyond surface-level usage and start building real systems.
Ideal for:
⚠️ Note: This is a code-driven program. You’ll be writing and modifying real Python code throughout.
Yes. The program assumes no prior experience with agentic AI and introduces concepts step by step, starting from fundamentals and building toward a complete project.
No. This program is fully self-contained and can be taken independently without completing any other certifications.
No formal background in data science or machine learning is required. Familiarity with basic programming concepts is sufficient.
You should be comfortable with basic Python: functions, variables, classes, and running scripts. Advanced Python or ML expertise is not required.
You’ll need a Ready Tensor account, a GitHub account, and access to an LLM API (setup instructions are provided in the lessons).
Most learners complete the program in 2–4 weeks, depending on their pace and prior experience.
The learning is fully self-paced. Project submissions are reviewed in monthly cycles, but you can submit when you’re ready.
Most learners spend 20–40 hours total completing the lessons and capstone project. The exact time depends on your prior experience with Python, APIs, and LLM-based systems.
You can spread this time out however you like — over a few focused weeks or at a slower pace alongside other commitments.
You’ll need an LLM API key. Most learners stay within free or very low-cost tiers while completing the program.
Yes. The program is designed so you can complete it using free-tier or low-cost tools.
Yes. Using your own dataset or a real-world problem is encouraged, as long as the project meets the program requirements.
Yes, you’re free to use alternative tools or frameworks.
Yes, as long as the work done during this program is clearly documented and aligns with the project requirements. If the project involved other contributors, make sure to properly acknowledge their contributions and clearly describe your own role and additions.
You’ll receive detailed feedback and can revise and resubmit your project for a review again.
You can ask questions in the Ready Tensor community and Discord channels, where mentors and peers help troubleshoot issues.
This program (Agentic AI Essentials) teaches foundational skills of agentic AI. The other two programs focus on different advanced aspects of agentic AI:
All three are independent and can be taken in any order based on your experience, interests and goals.
No. Programs can be taken independently, though this one provides helpful foundational context.
You earn the RAG Systems Expert certificate and a shareable digital badge.
Yes. Your completed project is designed to be portfolio-ready and publicly shareable.
Many learners continue with other Agentic AI programs focused on multi-agent systems, evaluation, and production deployment. Please check the other programs on Ready Tensor to see which one is right for you.
The skills you learn in this program are commonly used in Machine Learning Engineer and AI Engineer roles, particularly for building LLM-powered applications. You’ll be well prepared to work on projects like RAG systems, customer support and knowledge-base assistants, and internal AI tools.
These roles often require additional skills beyond this program, which are covered in other Agentic AI programs on Ready Tensor.
